Literacy

All students participate in rich literacy experiences that develop their oral language, reading, viewing and writing skills.  Experiences from all areas of the  curriculum provide opportunities for children to engage in authentic literacy learning where they develop the thinking skills associated with literacy through talking, listening, discussing, sharing, presenting, researching, writing and creating.

Numeracy

Our students engage in mathematical investigations allowing them to build their numeracy skills through relevant and meaningful tasks. Students build their understandings through manipulating materials and making connections within mathematical areas and across learning areas to develop their mathematical thinking.

Our students have 24 hour access to Mathletics, an on-line program which supports skill practice.
