School Profile

Mount Clear Primary School is located in the Ballarat urban area, six kilometres south of the city centre. Established during the gold rush period (1858), the school's current enrolment is drawn mainly from the Mt Clear, Mt Helen and Canadian areas.

Mount Clear Primary School prides itself on providing a safe, caring and happy environment where we value: positive relationships (Respect and Honesty), support and understanding of each other (Care), and have high expectations (Personal Best). We provide our students with a learning program that emphasises literacy and numeracy, along with ICT, which complements our teaching and learning programs.

Our student wellbeing programs aim to strengthen self-esteem, confidence, and resilience through personal, social and leadership skills. Programs are integrated across the school to support our students in becoming independent learners.

Our school has modern facilities throughout, with restructured classroom spaces, refurbishments and a BER open-plan learning area, incorporating purpose-built designs and up-to-date technology. The expansive grounds are well maintained and include extensive adventure play areas, netball/basketball courts, oval space, outdoor learning spaces and large shady areas for play
